Aspect
The grey appearance and varnished finish on one side of the raw steel are the result of a surface pickling process, making it easily identifiable.
Applications
Crude steel is used in a wide range of applications, from the creation of automotive and mechanical parts, to the reinforcement of gates and the stabilization of parasol stands.
Characteristics
Steel is the material of choice for the experienced do-it-yourselfer who is skilled in welding, has the necessary handling equipment and has mastered the technique. Depending on its thickness, raw oiled steel can withstand vehicle traffic, abrasion and impact. Nevertheless, it requires galvanizing (like galvanized steel) or varnishing (to preserve its color) to prevent rusting.
S355MC raw steel sheet features excellent mechanical strength (35 kg/mm2 tensile strength) and weldability.
(*) As a raw material, this sheet may be scratched to varying degrees. Depending on your project, we advise you to choose film-coated sheet metal.
